Welcome Josephine Lynn!

Our sweet little girl arrived in this world early yesterday afternoon!

Josephine Lynn Markham was born at 2:38 pm on Thursday, January 14th, 2016. At birth, she weighed 7 pounds 12.5 ounces & was 19 inches long.

We could not be more in love! Big Sister Nolin & Big Brother Harris are thrilled & in love as well!

The Countdown is ON...

I'm almost 39 weeks now & still rocking this baby bump!

37 weeks

I'm not sure if I want to say this pregnancy has flown by or what...some days it feels as it has & others I feel like I've been pregnant for years! :)

Here we are about to hit single digits & approaching the 39th week. I'm so thankful to have been able to carry my three babies to term, but I gotta be honest, I'm ready to meet this baby girl!

I can't really complain about anything with this pregnancy, either. This have progressed pretty smoothly. I'm dealing with the frequent trips to the restroom, a little acid reflux, some trouble sleeping, some swelling...but all to be expected. I may be experiencing some crazy emotions as well...just ask Paul about that! & the kids might tell you that I have moments of little patience...but thank goodness they still love me! They both are looking forward to cuddling Mommy without the big belly being in the way! :)

Josephine seems to be hanging out in the right position, so hopefully her labor will go smoothly as well. She is also measuring as she should. I'll be interested in seeing if she is the same size as her 8 pound siblings were. My belly appears to be about the same, so fingers crossed she is no bigger! :)

Josephine has slowed down a little bit with her movement...guess baby girl is just about out of room! But she still gets the hiccups & moves just enough to let me know she is doing well!

Here is the latest of the belly growth...if all goes as it did with Nolin & Harris, there will not be a 40 week belly photo! Here's to hoping we meet baby Josephine soon!

 

Our Year in Review: 2015

January

We rang in the New Year as a family with Cake Pops & milk mustaches!

I took advantage of Nolin wanting to show off her new cowgirl boots & we had a mini photo session.

February

We moved into our new house in Ballard (Seattle) so we could be closer to Daddy's work.

Nolin & I enjoyed a Mommy-Daughter Date seeing Cinderella.  It was her first time at the theater.

We enjoyed a visit from Nana & PopPop.

Harris started preschool with Momma, learning about colors. Our first color was red!

March

I ran the Hot Chocolate 5K with friends.

Harris continued learning about colors & of course, we also celebrated Dr. Seuss!

We celebrated the start of Spring in Seattle!

April

We started April with some fun Easter celebrations & of course, I had to take some cute Easter photos!

We enjoyed some fun Easter activities.

The kids & I enjoyed our annual trip to Tulip Town!

Nolin Leigh turned 4-years-old on April 26th!! We celebrated her birthday with friends at the zoo!

May

On May 6th, we found out we were expecting Tiny Markham #3!

We took a fun family trip to Victoria, BC with friends!

I celebrated Mother's Day with Nolin at school & by running the Run Like a Mother 5K.

We made a trip back home to Kentucky to visit family & the kids got to spend some time on the farm!

June

We took our yearly trip to the Lavender Farm with friends for some yummy ice cream & fresh lavender.

We also took our yearly trip to the strawberry patch!

We made the public announcement that we were expecting Tiny Markham #3 & we were about to be outnumbered!

July

We took our first family camping trip to Mt. Rainier!

August

Paul & I enjoyed a rare date night at the theater seeing Wicked.

We celebrated Paul's birthday on August 9th, as well as mine on August 26th!

The kiddos experienced their first Bubble Run 5K.  One was a fan & one was not! LOL

We enjoyed a quick family visit from Nannie & Papa. We enjoyed lots of fun things while they were here, including a Mariner's game & getting to meet Moose!

We took our yearly trip to Remlinger Farms with friends! Harris took his first roller coaster ride on this trip...it was a hit!

September

Nolin started Pre-K!

We found out we were expecting a baby girl, after first thinking it was a boy!  We announced baby Josephine Lynn's namesakes.

Nolin learned to ride her bike without training wheels!

We enjoyed some family time at the first annual Corn Festival.  The kids did the adult corn maze with us & did great!

We also took our yearly family trip to the Apple Orchard!

Harris stole his first kiss from someone other than Momma!

We started back to Harris' Preschool with the Letter A.

October

My wonderful friends threw me a Surprise Sprinkle for Baby Josephine!

We took the opportunity to take some fun baby bump pictures.

Nolin & I enjoyed another theater date with her little buddy.  We saw Elephant & Piggie's: We are in a Play!  Nolin also got her first autograph.

We enjoyed a visit from Nana & PopPop.

We took our yearly trip to the Pumpkin Patch.

We took several trips to the pumpkin patches with friends.

The kids & I had a mini Halloween party with friends.

The kids enjoyed some fun Halloween activities & even more!

My little Sofia the First & Red Dragon showed off their Halloween costumes!

We, of course, carved our family pumpkins!

& we wished everyone a Happy Halloween with some spooky pictures!

November

I gave an update on Baby Josephine's pregnancy.

We enjoyed a fun trip to see Disney on Ice: Frozen!

We attended our third annual Friendsgiving Celebration with friends!

We celebrated a small Thanksgiving as a family, as we didn't get to travel back to Kentucky this year. Of course this included some fun crafts for the kiddos.

We started a new family tradition of getting a "real" Christmas tree, so we were able to reserve "Fluffy" in November.

December

We celebrated Christmas with lots of fun traditions.  First, the kiddos opened their Christmas Pajamas & we had a little photo shoot.

We enjoyed many Christmas Celebrations around Seattle.

The kids enjoyed lots of fun Christmas activities & crafts.

We enjoyed a special Christmas Eve family gift this year with a trip to Build-A-Bear.

& of course, we had some more Christmas photo fun!

We took a fun family trip to Leavenworth with friends! The kids loved the snow!

We celebrated Harris turning 3 years old!  This year I started his yearly interview as well.  :) He is having a party with his buddies next month...more to come!

Looking forward to what 2016 has in store for the Markham family! We will start it off with a bang welcoming Baby Josephine into the family! :)
