January
We counted down the final weeks until baby Josie's arrival.
We celebrated Harris' birthday with a Lumberjack Bash with his two best buddies! Check out these handsome lumberjacks!
Josephine Lynn was born into the Markham family on January 14th. Feel free to read about Josie's birth.
I documented my three babies with a sibling photoshoot.
Josephine had her newborn photo session with Mommy.
There was also, of course, a Valentine's photo session.
The first part of our move across the country started as we left Seattle to spend a few months in Kentucky.
March
We celebrated Easter in Kentucky with our family.
April
We drove ten hours from Kentucky to our new home in Potomac, Maryland!
We did some exploring in our new home, including the kids first trip to DC on the metro.
Nolin Leigh turned 5-years-old on April 26th!! We celebrated her birthday with family in Kentucky before our move to Maryland & also with a little treat on her actual birthday!
We spent a couple of weeks in an empty house waiting for our belongings to arrive from Seattle!
May
I finally started getting my camera out more & captured some of my favorite pictures of the kids. I even got in a couple. ;)
We enjoyed our first visitors at our new home, followed closely with more visitors!
June
Josie got her first taste of food - watermelon.
We found a farm to take our yearly trip to the Strawberry patch!
A friend introduced us to a great park, where I took the kids for some play & fun photos.
July
We celebrated the Fourth of July with a fun neighborhood parade & party.
I captured some adorable six month photos of Josie Lynn!
Nolin learned to swim & took her first jump off the diving board! She also competed in her first swim meet!
August
We enjoyed more family visitors. Now that we are closer to home, people get to come see us more often. :)
Harris finally learned to pedal his bicycle...now if only he will keep it up! :)
Josie's sassy little personality really started to show in her funny faces!
We celebrated Paul's birthday on August 9th, as well as mine on August 26th!
September
Paul & I celebrated 11 years of marriage on September 11th!
Nolin started Kindergarten!
Harris started his first year of Preschool!
Josie started crawling!
We took our yearly family trip to the Apple Orchard!
October
We took our yearly family trip to the Pumpkin Patch.
We carved our family pumpkins!
The kids enjoyed some fun Halloween activities! This year the kids even put on a Haunted House with the help of their Daddy.
My little Princess Anna & Catboy showed off their Halloween costumes, while Josie looked cute in her little Halloween outfit!
November
We exercised our right to vote in a historical election, as a family of five!
We enjoyed a visit from Nannie & Papa, who also got to celebrate Thanksgiving with us.
We took our little lumberjacks to the farm to get our "real" Christmas tree. This year his name was "Bouncy".
The kids took the lead this year in decorating the Christmas tree. Daddy even decorated the outside of the house for the first time ever.
December
The kids opened their first present of the season on December 1st & we celebrated with hot chocolate & a Christmas pajama photo shoot.
Being Josie's first Christmas, I had to capture a lot of her this year. :)
We spent the month of December enjoying our favorite season & taking in as many festive activities & light displays as possible!
Harris turned 4 years old! We celebrated Harris turning 4, with family in Kentucky. He has a little party coming up next week at home.
We rang in the new year back home in Kentucky, before heading back to our new home in Maryland.
Looking forward to what 2017 has in store for the Markham family!
