The Long Weekend

This weekend we enjoyed an extra day with Daddy!  We wanted to make the most of the long weekend together as a family, so we stayed busy with some fun activities.

On Saturday we finally took Nolin to the Imagine Children's Museum in Everett. Many people have told us that this is this best children's museum around & we agree!  It was my favorite of any that we've visited to date. The museum was huge & so wonderfully decorated. I wanted to run around like a little kid!  There were tons of areas for play. A few are the water area, a train area, a restaurant, an animal hospital, a treehouse, a contrition zone where you actually build toys to ride on, a fun music room, a glow in the dark room, & more. Our favorite part of the museum, though, was the rooftop playground!  Nolin had such a fun time there & wasn't afraid of a thing. Some of the adults were surprised to see such a little girl going up to the tallest slide & doing it herself. I'm glad Nolin is so adventurous! :)

Harris enjoyed his afternoon nap while Nolin played.
On Sunday we had plans to meet friends at Chateau Ste. Michelle, a local vineyard, for their annual Staycation. But the traffic going in was backed up & we had two hungry kids, so we ended up eating lunch at Red Robin. LOL. After lunch we took Nolin back to the mall so she could run around & play in the play area for a bit. She fell asleep in the car on the way home both days, so I guess we successfully wore her out!  She typically doesn't take naps anymore - just usually has some down time.

On Monday it was dreary & rainy, so we took the opportunity to take Nolin to a new place in Seattle - PlayDate SEA.  It is a huge indoor play place with a cafe. Nolin & I went to one in Portland, so I knew she would love it.

sufficiently worn out!
