Oh Technology, How I Love Thee...

I LOVE technology!! I probably spend way too much time with it. These are some of my favorite things:

  • Facebook - this was one of my first addictions. I love being able to keep up with people & share what's going on in my life. Let's face it, if it weren't for Facebook, I would probably miss out on a lot. I'm not the best at phone calls...
  • Pinterest - this is my latest addiction. At first, I didn't get it. But now I'm hooked!! Pinterest is such a great way to share ideas. I have found so many things that would be great for my classroom. Now I just have to find time to make them... But classroom ideas are not the only things on Pinterest - you can find decorating ideas, party ideas, recipes, & much, much more! Sooo addicting!
  • Instagram - this is an app on the iPhone. It allows you to filter your pictures to give them different looks. You can also share your pictures with others. It's like Facebook without the status updates. Now I have a hard time posting regular pictures! :)
  • Twitter - just the opposite of Instagram. I didn't understand the purpose of Twitter at first either. I also had no clue what the # tags were for. Now I like using them & reading what other people are posting with the same tags.
  • Glogster - I just found out about this at a PD the other day. This is like Blogger, but it uses mostly images. You basically make virtual posters. This is great for the classroom. I need to figure out how to use it in Kindergarten.
  • Google - I love almost everything Google (not sold on Google+ yet). Google Docs, gmail, Google search, Google calendar...
  • Apple - if it weren't for the Mac & the iPhone, I would be able to enjoy all of these things!
  • Blogger - I can't leave this out. I love to write, even if I am the only one reading it! Expression makes me feel good. :)
Paul was trying to tell me about even more new sites & such. But I think I'm on overload right now. It amazes me how creative people are to come up with these things. Some are so simple, yet so neat!

I remember when AOL was the big thing on the internet.  Look at how far we've come!

I'm pretty sure I'm not going to get much done for a while...
