Harris' Preschool - Letter F

Now that Halloween has passed, we have started back on the alphabet.  This past week, Harris learned about the letter F.

F is for Football - he was excited to find it in his letter box.
F is for Feather
Making his dot letter F's
F is for Feather - so this week we decorated the letter with feathers!

Harris sorted feathers by color.

F is for fruit!
We talked about the differences between fruit & vegetables.  Harris sorted the fruits & veggies.
Harris made his name out of torn paper.  We love fine motor practice. Normally I wouldn't let him go out of order, but this day he wanted to choose which letter to do first.
F is for Fly Swatter - Harris swatted the letters that I called out for him.  Then we played again with the letter sounds.
F is for Foil - Harris got to play with some foil.  He enjoyed tearing pieces off & making them into little balls.
F is for Flour!

Harris made a mess pretty quickly with the dry flower.
Then we added water to play with some dough.

F is for Fruit Loops!
Harris & Nolin both made Fruit Loop rainbows!  We sand the color songs while working...

F is for Finger Paint!

Harris sorted upper & lowercase letter F's.
F is for Family Portraits - Harris would say, "leg, leg, circle, eye, eye, hair".  LOL
Making upper & lowercase pattern block letter F's.
Harris practiced counting & fine motor skills by placing beads onto pipe cleaners.  I helped him recognize the number & then he would place beads on. We did the counting together to practice one-to-one correspondence.

F is for Fish - goldfish! Harris counted fish to add to their fish bowls.
Up next...letter G!
