We finally finished up the letter T! We've been working on this for a few weeks, with a fun trip to Kentucky in between...
Letter T Mystery Box - tractor, tow truck, tools, track, toothbrush, toothpaste, toothpicks, teacup, tape, ten, tomato, train, upper & lowercase letter T's, toilet paper, & telephone |
T is for Tape |
T is for Transportation |
I made a chalk graph on the patio & Nolin sorted vehicles by different modes of transportation - land, water, & air. |
Before we started, I asked Nolin different ways that you can go from place to place (transportation) & she was able to tell me all about boats, cars, trucks, trains, & airplanes. :) |
T is for Treasure Hunt - I "hid" puzzle pieces from two of Nolin's transportation puzzles in the yard, She then went on a treasure hunt to find them all. |
Nolin brought each puzzle piece back as she found them. She asked to have more treasure hunts when we were finished. She really loved this game. |
T is for Toothpaste - Elephant Toothpaste! |
I learned about Elephant Toothpaste at Fun at Home with Kids. We tried this with regular hydrogen peroxide & it didn't work very well, so I had to order the special bottle. It was super cool to watch! |
T is for Tissue Art |
This was a great fine motor activity for Nolin. |
Finished Product - a bird! |
T is for Tracing - Nolin practiced tracing letters & numbers. |
We also played a fun little game when Harris had an extra long nap one day. We pulled out Nolin's wooden shape clock & talked a bit about time - wake up time, lunch time, dinner time, bedtime. Then we took turns choosing a number from the clock for the other person to identify & count that number of Cheerios to eat. :)
